Ignacio Juan Keller Sarmiento, MD

Ignacio Juan studied medicine at the San Raffaele University (Milan, Italy) where he received his medical degree in 2015. He completed his Neurology residency at the University of Milan. Currently, he holds a postdoctoral position at the Neurology Department of the Northwestern University – Feinberg School of Medicine, under the mentorship of Professor Dimitri Krainc. Ignacio’s research focus is to uncover the genetic burden of movement disorders through the analysis of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data. By combining clinical observation and computational techniques, he focuses on the genetic diagnosis of cases with unsolved early-onset dystonia.
