Jane Macnaughtan, PhD

Jane Macnaughtan, PhD, is a Clinician Scientist at the UCL Institute for Liver and Digestive Health researching the role of the microbiome in pathogenesis of cirrhosis and Parkinson disease. She studied at Cambridge and Oxford Universities and undertook her PhD at UCL. Her preclinical work has now been translated clinically and phase 2 clinical trials have just been completed. She now conducts research in the gut-brain axis in PD and co-supervises a funded PhD project with Professor Schapira.
