Samantha Gruenheid, PhD, is a microbiologist interested in host-microbe interactions in the intestine and their influence on health and disease. She completed her PhD at McGill in 2000 and undertook postdoctoral studies at the University of British Columbia. She joined the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at McGill in 2005 where she is now a full professor and associate chair. Her role within the ASAP Team focuses on the role of gut-brain axis, intestinal infection, and inflammation in Parkinson’s disease.
