Zhandong Liu, PhD is an associate professor of quantitative and computational biosciences at Baylor College of Medicine and the director of bioinformatics at the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute. He received a Ph.D. in genomics and computational biology from University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include topics in genomics, transcription regulation, disease genes prioritization, and machine learning. Dr. Liu often examines problems in these areas using methods and models from computer science, statistics and related disciplines. Recently, he has been working on using Graphical Models to integrate multiple data types in the interest of advancing our understanding of neurological diseases.
