Lilia Rodriguez, PhD, is an experienced researcher with excellent understanding of basic neurobiology of neurodegenerative diseases and mechanisms of neurodegeneration. She is the project manager for Team Desjardins. Lilia worked on the prion hypothesis in Alzheimer’s disease (studying tau protein) and in Parkinson’s disease (studying alpha synuclein) and has an in-depth understanding on the common pathological mechanisms in these two diseases.
