Tammy Butterick, PhD, is a GS-13 Health Science Specialist at Minneapolis VAHCS (US Dept. of Veterans Affairs) and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the University of Minnesota Department of Neuroscience and Department of Food Science and Nutrition. She studied liposomal drug delivery and immunology while completing her MS at California Polytechnical Institute, Pomona. She completed a PhD in Pharmacology at at the University of Minnesota and her current research expertise lies in the fields of pharmacology, neuroscience, inflammation and immunometabolism. Her expertise in pharmacology and novel pre-clinical models has assisted in ongoing collaborations that include Dr. Michael K. Lee and Dr. Laura Niedernhofer.
