Tools & Resources

The Aligning Science Across Parkinson’s (ASAP) initiative is founded on the idea that collaboration, resource generation, and data sharing are essential to accelerating scientific discovery. We are committed to developing and openly sharing research outputs, including data, code, protocols, and key lab materials, to help the scientific community build upon existing work.
Our focus on sharing resources facilitates improved access to research tools, improves reproducibility of studies, and allows us to increase the impact of studies through meta-analyses.

Training

We are committed to building a strong, diverse, and global pipeline of the next generation of Parkinson’s disease researchers. Through training resources, we equip scientists with the knowledge and tools they need to enhance their impact.

ASAP's Catalog

We are committed to informing the scientific community about available tools and resources by sharing them. Our Catalog lists the ASAP-funded research outputs that are publicly available. Check out ASAP-funded articles, datasets, code, protocols, and key lab materials.

ASAP’s Open Science Policy

Open science is at the heart of our mission and work. Our vision is to facilitate a research environment where meaningful collaboration, research-enabling resources, and data sharing provide the answers we need to understand, diagnose, and treat Parkinson’s disease.

“Blueprint for Collaborative Open Science” (2022)
“Blueprint for Collaborative Open Science” (2022)

This Blueprint presents initial findings on how our approach to open science has solidified and evolved over the years, data and metrics on progress, and CC-BY versions of assets that can be adopted and adapted by others. We update the Blueprint with new findings and updated versions of these assets on a regular basis.
